Joanne & Jeremy’s Mini Elopement Engagement Session

I suppose this qualifies as a mini elopement because the couple was looking for something more unconventional and adventurous for their engagement session. They initially had the sand dunes by the Klebang beach in Malacca in mind, but with the cross state restrictions and long travel hours, I’d decided to do a bit of research within Klang Valley and found this gem which a friend recommended. Kudos to Joanne and Jeremy for joining me on a semi-jungle trek through the mud which was quite wet from the heavy downpour days prior, it was definitely an experience that’s hard to forget.

About the location:
Up till a few years ago, Puncak Alam has been a rather well kept secret among the photography community because there is a particular mining spot that’s unique for its reddish rocky terrain and barren grounds, almost Mars-like. It’s many fashion photographer’s go to spot for lookbooks and portraits but unfortunately it’s become a hazardous location as of late. The last time I went it has become a dumping ground for trash, which is really unfortunate. But recently a new location on the other side of Puncak Alam that’s closer to Setia Alam has opened up due to new housing developments in its surrounding areas and it reminds me so much of the place I mentioned earlier, on top of that it’s a lot cleaner and safer. Hit me up if you’d like to know exactly where this is.
